Bio

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Declan studied art and graduated with a degree in graphic design. He began hairdressing in 2000. 

​

 

In July 2007, Declan began teaching hairdressing alongside the Toni & Guy International Artistic team at the London Academy and throughout Europe. This involved him leading educational seminars and creating imagery for the company. Declan gained recognition for his work as finalist at various L'Oreal and Wella competitions and he has won numerous hairdressing awards.

In 2009, Declan was awarded Master Colour Expert with distinction at the Wella World Studio London as well as completing a L’Oreal Colour Specialist degree. Moving into session work in 2010, Declan began working at London, Paris, Milan Fashion Weeks, assisting top hairstylists. He then worked as first assistant to Sam McKnight for 3 years.
